Thomas F. Helbig has been in the Financial Services Industry for 40 years. He specializes in creating a customized retirement strategy for each of his clients that will provide a guaranteed lifetime income in retirement. He believes in this conservative approach for his clients who are concerned about market losses affecting their retirement savings. These strategies offer the potential for growth in addition to credited interest and principal protection. He continues to offer informational workshops throughout the year. Thomas’s strong belief in education has been the foundation of his client’s success in their retirement years.
In 1977 Thomas started working for a local firm called Financial Structuring Systems and was mentored by some of the top financial professionals in the St. Louis area. After 10 years he started his own firm originally named Diversified Financial Planners, the name was later changed to Retirement Advisory Group. His passion is in helping retirees and pre-retirees protect their life savings and maintain a comfortable lifestyle during their retirement. He works with his team of financial professionals to provide you with complete financial planning services.
Thomas was born and raised in St. Louis and comes from a large family of 5 children. His parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed. Coming from a very close nit family he along with his siblings help care for his 89 year old father Francis Helbig. For the past 25 years in his free time Thomas trains in the Martial Arts and has attained a First Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. That along with weight training keeps him physically fit and mentally sharp. He resides in Chesterfield Missouri with his girlfriend and his beloved dog Lou.
Jeff Hackney, a results-driven and client-focused financial professional, brings a lifelong passion for markets and investing into every advisory relationship. Prior to bringing his talents and energy to Retirement Advisory Group, Jeff was a financial professional with Wells Fargo Advisors and had practiced law with a nationally prominent law firm. A graduate of both the Washington University School of Law and the University of Missouri-Columbia, he is a member of the Missouri Bar and has passed the Series 7 & 66 Securities exams, as well as holds a Missouri life insurance license.
Jeff stresses three objectives to help clients work towards financial independence: transparency, clarity and responsiveness. He is dedicated to explaining complex financial concepts using plain language, keeping a keen attention on risk-adjusted rates of return, and intricately understanding each client’s highly individualized risk tolerance, needs, goals and concerns.
Outside of the office, Jeff’s personal interests include literature, sports, fitness and film.
Mr. Morrison is an 18 year veteran in the Financial Service Industry. As a dedicated insurance professional in the industry Blake’s mission is to work with his clients to design and implement retirement strategies that can provide lifetime income guarantees in retirement, a conservative approach for savings and retirement accounts that offer the potential for growth.
Blake started with Retirement Advisory Group in 2008. He works out of the home office in St. Louis, but is also available to meet with clients at his office in Southern Illinois.
In his personal life Mr. Morrison has a passion for the arts and exercising the creative side of his mind. Early in life he dabbled on the piano and played trumpet in his school’s band. Now he enjoys playing his guitar. In addition to music he enjoys the creative outlet of graphic art and design. Lastly, Blake understands and appreciates the importance of family and the loved ones in his life and in the lives of others, the importance of giving back and being in service to others. He believes it is up to each individual to be the change they want to see in the world.
